We understand that the majority of golfers do not shoot in the 70’s and it would be hard to compete in true stroke play competition. But that doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t want to play in competitive tournaments. Using your handicap has many challenges and only a small percentage of you actually have signed up for a true handicap. So we created the fun format tournaments. These are still competitive tournaments and you will play them just like the regular tour. You can learn everything about The Players Golf Tour in the How It Works page on the main menu. However, these tournaments are played with a twist to make it so anyone can win or at least place in the Top 10. Here are a few examples.

The Random 6 – In this format we will take your score on 6 random holes and add them up. And the lowest score wins! So everyone has a chance!

Front 9 Back 9 – In this format we will randomly select whether we use the Front 9 score or the Back 9 score for everyone. This way even if you have a bad 9 holes you still have a shot to win!

The Random 9 – In this format we will randomly select 9 holes and add them up. Lowest score wins!

The Random 8 – In this format we will pick 8 random holes and give you a par. It could hurt or help you. If you had a bad round it could put you into the Top 10!

There will be several variations of these formats and some other fun formats as well. This is a great way for you to enjoy some competitive golf even if you don’t shoot low scores consistently.
